I’m pleased to announce that my latest pattern La Primavera Top is now published! You can buy it on Ravelry here.
This Versatile top can be knit with cap sleeves, 3/4 sleeves or long sleeves and you even get a choice of hem finishes, a pretty picot hem or a rolled-hem finish so there are loads of mix-and-matching opportunities!
I knit the cap sleeved version with the picot hems in a gorgeous shade of Schachermayr Catania which give wonderful stitch definition as is perfect as we start dipping our toes into summer over here. However, a note to those wanting to use this yarn for this top – The gauge was spot on but the top is quite heavy and personally, I will go down a size and knit the 32″ for myself next time I knit it in this particular yarn.
My 3/4 sleeve rolled-hem version fits perfectly with the 1.5″ negative ease the top is designed for. It just shows the effect different yarns can have on a pattern. Have you ever knit the same garment in different yarns and had a big difference in outcome?
I hope you love the top as much as I do – it’s a nice holiday knit as it has plenty of St St before the yoke making it easy to pick-up and put-down in any place. It’s knit in one piece with no seaming another advantage for a holiday project!
Keep your eyes peeled as very soon I’ll be publishing the matching dress. you heard it here first……….
Enjoy your weekend dear knitter friends!
